| What is Dallas ka Tara? |
| Based on the concept of the popular Indian TV singing Talent Contest "Indian Idol", Dallas Ka Tara, will give the opportunity to two local artists to shine amongst thousands who will come to watch their music idol 'Sonu Nigam' live in concert on Labor Day weekend in Dallas. |

| How the contest will be segmented? |
The contest will be segmented in 3 rounds and will allow at least 100 local artists to participate. First round will be contested at BBQ tonite restaurant at Carrollton on 08/04/07 and 8/11/07. 10 finalists will be selected for second round. These 10 finalists will get the chance to introduce themselves to the Dallas listening audience via a specially publicized show on 104.9 FM where each contender will then sing his/her favorite Sonu Nigham song live on air and Listeners will then vote in their choices online.
Third round will be held on 08/25/07. Each of the 10 finalists will perform 4-5mins Sonu Nigham hits in front of a panel of celebrity judges. The judges will score each performance based on a set criteria. The scores from the judges evaluation will be added to the scores received through the online poll ( eknazar.com ). 1 winner and 2 runner up will be selected. |

| Is there registration fee to participate on the contest? |
| Yes. Participation requires min. $20 ticket purchase and a $10 registration fee applies. Only the first 100 applications will be accepted. |

| Is there age bar to participate on the contest? |
| Yes. You must be 18 or over on August 4th, 2007 and you will be required to produce copies of your driver's license, state ID, birth certificate, passport, or such other applicable and acceptable documentation, as we may reasonably request, confirming your identity and age. |

| Is prior training in music mandatory to participate on the contest? |
| No. |

| Can participants sing in any language? |
| No. Participants can only sing in Hindi or Urdu. |

| What is the first prize? |
| First prize winner will be awarded the title of "Dallas Ka Tara 2007". Round trip ticket from Dallas - Bombay - Dallas will be provided as a courtesy of continental airlines. Cash prize of $1049.00 will be rewarded as well as featured 1 full page profile in DSN Magazine. Winner will also have a chance to perform as the opening act for Simply Sonu Concert on 2. Sept'07. | Can I come early and practice my song in the studio? |
No. |
| |
| What kind of song can I sing? |
| You have to sing any song sung by Sonu Nigam song for this round. |
| |
| Will there be a time allocation for this performance in the studio? |
| Each participant will be given up to 6 minutes to sing his/her song. You are expected to sing the complete song. |

| Is there a dress code for this Round? |
| Semi- formal. |
| |
| Are there any specific instructions for bringing in music? |
| We recommend a pre-recorded CD purchased from a store. Please try to avoid burnt CDs as they may cause problems. Feel free to carry printed lyrics. |

| How long do I have to be in studio? |
| You may have to stay in the studio for up to 3 hours. |
| |
| Can my family/ friends accompany me in the studio or station? |
| Yes. You can have your family or friends with you. There will be special sitting arrangements for guests. Guests are not allowed INSIDE the studio. |

| How will I know about the results of this round? |
| The results will be announced on 26 th August. |
